With God's favor, we're able to survive that and build a thriving publishing business. When we had this success in our business and was experiencing financial abundance my first son Paulo was born. As new parents we began to upgrade our lifestyle to give our child a nicer place to live.
So we bought a house, new appliance, a car, and all other things that newly wed and new parents do. This is where our trials began. Due to recession my small business was affected and our sales dropped and so did my income. I began struggling to make payments for my car and mortgage. There was a time where I was paying our bills and groceries through my credit cards. There was a time where my wife and I had constant arguments about our bills, money, and the decisions I made about my business.
As you might imagine, it's so stressful and frightening. I'm happy to have a child but I wasn't sure if I could give him great education and the future that he deserves. So here's what I did. To generate extra cash, I took a sales job in the mall selling mobile phones.
But after 3 months I was laid off for no clear reason. After that, I began to think about the wrong decisions I made and how we managed our finances. At the same time, my wife and I began our journey to become a good steward of our resources.
With faith we took action by reading and studying about money management and applied it to our daily lives. We're so thankful to God. After this eye-opening and painful experience I decided to teach Christians how to easily and effectively manage their money regardless of how bad their situation is. So with your permission, I would like to introduce you to But you can get all these absolutely free.
Order Wealth Stewardship System and you'll have the tools you need to take control of your financial life again. Well, everything that is, except the one thing that I cannot give: your commitment to act. As I mentioned earlier, your action is the fuel of your faith.
Prayer alone isn't enough. You have to back it up with the right action. You see, Wealth Stewardship System is only for those who will actually implement the lessons. Financial suffering is a reality in the lives of many Christians today. Many of us are familiar with the vulnerable moments of financial crisis. Will I be able to get a job this month? Will I have enough money to pay rent? Will I be able to make my car payment? Will I be able to put food on the table for my wife and kids?
Sadly, this form of suffering is frequently written off as a First World problem. After all, physical persecution is the only way a Christian can suffer on behalf of the gospel, right? Not according to Paul. He certainly suffered physically 2 Cor. Even so, little consideration is given to how God uses financial suffering in the church to shine the light of the gospel in a dark world.
But we can learn a rich lesson about enduring poverty from Philippians — This passage is well known for all the wrong reasons. Many well-intentioned Christians misuse, misinterpret, and misapply the divine promise of Philippians "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
They cling to this verse like a lucky rabbit's foot, rubbing it while repeating the promise in order to receive all that they desire. For many, this includes monetary gain. But Philippians doesn't make that kind of promise. We all need to know whom we serve, and what our wages will be. God forgives us for our financial sins. Christ reminds us that our standing before the Father is our main concern, and that never changes for those who put their faith in him for salvation, but the Lord cares about material distress too.
God intends to punish those who exploit, humiliate, or unduly burden someone who is without means. God can, and sometimes does rescue his people if they seek his direction.
He will always feed his sheep if they follow his voice. Strong financial standing does not impress the Lord. He is, however, pleased by faith that however little we have to give is enough for his purposes if we give out of a desire to love and serve him who gave us all good things.
God cares about how we approach financial problems, and he cares about our well-being. He also expects us to trust him with something better than our investments.
What Does the Bible Say about Money? Candice Lucey is a freelance writer from British Columbia, Canada, where she lives with her family. Pray about those desires and ask God to grant them at the right time, in the right ways. Ask God to reveal what he wants you to learn in every type of financial circumstances you go through. God wants to know that you love him more than your money, and when you show him that by obeying his command to give as generously as you can in all circumstances, he will enrich your soul by transforming you into a person who grows more like Jesus every day.
